The power of collaboration
OOPA's World teamed up with the Kennedy Center Education team to bring arts and movement together in a whole new way. This civics collection of signature OOPA videos focuses on the five ideals often ascribed to John F. Kennedy: COURAGE, FREEDOM, JUSTICE, SERVICE, and GRATITUDE.
Through this developmentally-appropriate introduction to foundational civic concepts, we aim to support teachers in laying the groundwork for active and engaged citizens.

Building active and engaged citizens
The Civics Collection introduces preschool, preK, and early elementary learners to foundational civic concepts and vocabulary words that will help them process what they already observe all around them, and lay the groundwork for them to become active and engaged citizens.

OOPA explores various civic values and tenets of quality character education in this collection:
Everyone deserves respect
Everyone has something to share with their voice
Contributing to your community and supporting community members is important
With leadership comes responsibility
Speaking and listening are both essential parts of a healthy conversation
