The Places
Every element of the OOPA'S World set is an intentional blend of color, texture, and nostalgia. In a world that is increasingly digital, this set celebrates the tangible.
The OOPA Set
The set of OOPA'S World was created on an old farm and summer camp property in bucolic Bucks County, PA. Much of the furniture, props, and building materials themselves are repurposed from what was left behind over the years, giving new life to forgotten gems.
The cinder block exterior, wood paneled walls, terrazzo tiles, and hand-woven linens give a feeling of old-school realness that sets the tone for the space and the show.

OOPA'S Entry
Each OOPA episode begins as she arrives home from a day of adventure. The entry to her home is full of color, keepsakes, and personal belongings - subtle reminders that OOPA lives in a world that feels real and relatable.
After a warm welcome, OOPA introduces the word of the day through letter recognition, syllable division, verbal repetition and innate body reactions, seeding the idea of the mind-body connection and boosting language acquisition skills.

WORDSHOP
Just like a workshop, the WORDSHOP is the place where OOPA and her friends get curious, asking each other questions and sharing experiences to better understand the word of the day. Each friend brings a key prop that reminds them of the word - a fire helmet, a guitar, wooden blocks, and even a pet dog! The key prop serves as an anchor for early learners to recall the meaning of the word.
OOPA and her friends model balanced conversation, often discussing emotions and adversity. Through their exchange, they offer the audience valuable social and emotional tools.

Movement Room
The Movement Room is where OOPA'S super power comes to life - she always knows how to move her body to connect to a word!
The iconic grass floor and classic sports gear decor suggest fun and play, setting the stage for this interactive movement segment where the audience joins in. Dancing, jumping, stretching and dramatic play offer physical avenues to deepen children's understanding of words.

OOPA'S Bedroom
OOPA ends each episode with a quiet reflection in her bedroom. She revisits the word card she received at the start of the episode, spelling out the word and repeating it aloud. She shares what she has learned from her friends and her own experiences.
The room feels cozy and personal, allowing children to feel safe and connected to their friend, OOPA. As she says goodbye and turns out her light, she puts her word to rest, slipping it into her nifty nightstand. Because she has a full understanding of the word, OOPA feels organized and her world feels manageable.

Partnerships
We believe in the power of collaboration to bring movement and reflection to children - at home, at school, and in the community.
